did this drawing over the past 10 days. it's the biggest of my "collage" drawings i've ever done, 4 feet x 6 1/2 feet. made it for V1 Gallery for the Art Copenhagen Fair that opens the 17th. really happy with it. not the best picture but you get the idea. these things are giant puzzles.was getting bored doing the smaller ones so i stopped for a year or so and decided to do this giant one to push myself. think i would like to make a new group of them.

from my first show at ZieherSmith "Home at last" in 2004. Painting is 5x7 feet. the deer head was a major production. had to hack original antlers off and mount new ones and made the cross to mount into the top of it's head. the smell of cutting the antlers off was the same as when you get your teeth drilled, no good. painting all those trees was no small task either. was worth all the work, my first sale with ZieherSmith, which was very exciting.
